So this last week has been pretty interesting, I got out of the hospital today because yesterday I woke up shivering uncontrollably and it scarred me. Turns out I had another UTI ugh ugh! This has been the most stressful week so far. I was going through some of the stuff Larry and I brought from Arkansas and I was being stupid and picked up something heavy and I hurt my back. So since Friday I have been using a heating pad to help with my back, and well on Sunday, I fell asleep with it on and got really hot and drank some water and that is when I started shivering uncontrollably. So Larry took me to the hospital, and on the way, I was shivering so bad I threw up (gross I know) and when I got there I had a slight fever so they kept me for 24 hours. Well the reason for this blog is to keep you updated on Reagan.
Reagan is now 23 weeks today and she is much more active then Rilee was. Yesterday as I was just laying in bed all day long she kicked me so hard that I saw her foot it was insane. Well when she kicked me they were monitoring her to see if she was okay which she was. With those annoying monitors on you can hear everything inside my stomach (food digesting, gas, baby, heartbeat (Reagan's and Mine) and it sounds like a thunder storm!)
With Reagan's sense of movement well developed by now, she can feel me dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), I may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes (which I have and it is crazy). Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that her increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb which is nice.
Today Rilee went to the doctor and he said she was perfectly healthy which is nice to hear for a change considering everyone in Arkansas said she was under weight and that I was a bad mom which pissed me off to no end! She was referred to an ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) doctor by the name of Dr. Fear here in Grants Pass, and he also does the cochlear implants as well which is nice. Larry and I are so happy that there is a possibility that we will not have to drive to Portland to go and do this surgery maybe this will be an easy process. Well thanks once again for reading my blog and I will be updating it next week to tell how Reagan is doing. Love you all and God Bless.
The Allen
